In the House In a Heartbeat - John Murphy (From 28 Days Later)


  • Written by English Composer John Murphy.
  • Originally used in the film 28 Days Later and can be found on the soundtrack.
  • A slightly different version was used in 28 Weeks Later.
  • Has since been used in a number of films and TV shows such as Kick-Ass.

An Ending (Ascent) - Brian Eno



  • A fantastic ambient piece by Brian Eno.
  • Taken from the album Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks by Brian Eno.
  • Used in the films 28 Days Later, Trainspotting and Drive.

Heart of Courage - Two Steps From Hell


  • Two Steps From Hell are an LA based music production company.
  • Their music has been used in many films, trailers and TV programmes.
  • Heart of Courage was used as the players introduction during the Euro 2012 football tournament.
  • It was also used within the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic venues before and after events.

Crown Imperial - William Walton

  • Written for British monarch coronations. It was first intended for the coronation of Edward VIII in 1973. 
  • However, Edward abdicated before his coronation.
  • First used during the coronation of King George VI in 1937.
  • Used again for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
  • Played during the end of the wedding service of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in 2011.

Duel of the Fates - John Williams (From Star Wars Episode I)

  • Written by John Williams, who also wrote the Star Wars theme.
  • Recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra.
  • Used as the theme for the final lightsaber duel between Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul.
  • The lyrics are a Sanskrit translation of the Welsh poem Cad Goddeu (Battle of the Trees).

Return to Innocence - Enigma

  • Released in 1994 from the album 'The Cross of Changes'.
  • The chorus is not native American, as commonly thought.
  • The chorus was obtained from a Tawainese aborigine song, Difang's 'Elder's Drinking Song' (second video).
  • The video, filmed in Ibiza, Spain, depicts a man's life in reverse (a return to innocence).
